Dr. Omeed Ghassemi was born and raised in Orange County, California. He graduated with honors from the University of California San Diego where he majored in Human Biology, minored in Psychology and was a member of the competitive club tennis team. His initial exposure to medicine was through stories he would hear as a child from his grandfather, who was a physician. However, it was through volunteering at free clinics and serving in medical brigades in Honduras where his passion for medicine truly started. He attended the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed pediatric residency at Children’s Wisconsin. Through his gentle approach, attentive listening, and heartfelt commitment to his patients, Dr. Ghassemi strives to create a welcoming environment with every visit where children feel safe and parents are heard.
He is very close with his family and loves spending time with them. He is very proud of his little sister who is a radiology resident at UCSF. Outside of clinic, he enjoys tennis, piano, exploring nature and reading. He is very excited to be a part of the Agoura-West Valley Pediatrics family and looks forward to growing alongside your family—providing care, knowledge, and support every step of the way.
